Have you heard about our text club??

Listen, we all know you're swamped. Adulting is a full-time job with zero benefits. But guess what? You still deserve some love and a little push to keep you slaying. Forget long emails destined for the inbox graveyard. We're talking quick texts that hit you where it counts. Think of it like your personal hype squad, texting you with encouragement, self-care tips, and all the good stuff to keep you winning.

You get to choose the frequency – weekly check-ins or a daily pep talk. We won't spam you, that's just bad manners. Ditch the struggle and get your self-care in bite-sized doses that won't add to your stress. You deserve it. Now go get it! ✨

who am I?

That's a FAIR question. So allow me to (re)introduce myself.

I'm Liz - wife and mom, and Blerd extraordinaire. I love watching and rewatching Marvel films, dancing along with Meg the Stallion, and reading spicy books.

More than anything, though, I love being there for Black women and marginalized genders.

A lot of time, we don't have the language to say that we're burnt out - we just know that shit is HARD. And it's especially hard for us right now in the face of our beautiful intersectionalities.

So I started this business to bring the fun back to self-care, the Blackness back to community, and the fun back to our lives.

I love you, and I want to see you thrive.

Running on E? No, you empty.

Sis, You Ain't Running on E - You’re on Empty!

How to make self-care make sense.

Alright, we've all been there. Work is a mess, your mama keeps calling about them grandkids, and your social calendar is busier than Beyoncé at Coachella. But you know what? If you don't slow down and take care of yourself, you gon' hit a wall faster than you can say "retreat to my bed with Netflix and ice cream."

So ditch the superhero cape, cuz even Wonder Woman needs a spa day. Here's how to squeeze some self-care into your jam-packed schedule:

  • Mornings aren’t Just for Coffee (But Still Get Your Coffee). Treat yourself to a morning routine that ain't just hitting snooze. Whip up a breakfast that'll make your tastebuds sing (waffles with berries? yup!), get your body moving with a quick walk or some yoga poses (even if it's just in your PJs), or meditate for a few minutes to clear your head. This sets the tone for a good day, girl.

  • Schedule Some Chill Time. We all fall victim to the busy bee trap, buzzing from one thing to the next. But listen, even bees gotta take a break to make honey! Block off some time on your calendar, even if it's just an afternoon, to do something that makes your soul sing. Need a staycation? Book a hotel room in your own city, order takeout, and binge-watch your fave show. Feeling adventurous? Take a weekend trip to somewhere new. Just unplug and recharge.

  • Sleep Is NOT for the Weak (It's for YOU!). We all been there - gotta stay up late to finish that report, gotta meet the girls for drinks after work. But skimping on sleep is a recipe for disaster. Your body needs rest to heal and function at its best. Plus, when you're sleep-deprived, you're more likely to make bad food choices and skip the gym. So prioritize that shut-eye, girl! Aim for 7-8 hours a night, even if it means kicking your bestie out the door at a decent hour.

  • Goals? Make 'Em Doable, Not Daunting. We all wanna achieve greatness, but setting unrealistic goals is a surefire way to feel like a failure. Take a step back and think about what you truly want. Set goals that challenge you, but that you can actually reach. The same goes for self-care. Don't try to cram in a whole spa day every week if you know you don't have the time. Start small with things you can stick with, like taking a relaxing bath or reading a chapter before bed.

Remember, friend, taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it's essential. You gotta fill your own cup before you can pour for others. So go on, take a deep breath, and prioritize that self-care. You deserve it!
